1. Open up the image you want to use. I'm gonna use this
one (LOL I just random found one):

2. Select the Magic Wand Tool (W).

3. Click on the part of background that you want to cut off and press
Delete/Del on your key board or just right click and selet delete. However
this tool can only select the parts that have the same colour.

4. So if you have an image that has a colorful background you should
used the Polygonal Lasso Tool.

5. Now use your mouse and click to draw lines around the
part you want to be cleared then delete that part.
 |
| 6. After you delete all the background you are done extracting an image!
No I did not actually extract the sample image..I'm too lazy. |
